**Position summary**:

- Interpreting and executing data linkage plans as specified in the project documentation.
- Investigating and providing resolutions of data inquiries for all government/academic data linkage projects involving data integrity.
- Manage the data sourcing process for all linkage projects that require external data for linkage.
- Facilitate secure exchange of data, including encryption at file level ensuring relevant ethical approvals including amendments are imposed by data custodians and researchers.
- Work collaboratively with data linkage stakeholders, research investigators and data custodians to optimize the data accuracy, linkage efficiency and delivery of linked data for government projects.
- Communicate findings and provide recommendations arising from data validations for both internal and external custodians and clients.
- Maintain and enhance the quality of internal complex databases by identifying and implementing quality control measures and procedures.
- Provide reporting in agreed formats to stakeholders involved in data linkage projects including external personnel as required.
- Perform data extraction and manipulation in large and complex data sets using SAS, SQL, Microsoft Excel.
- Merge and extract data between SQL Server and different platforms internally and externally. Hash and export encrypted data.
- Work closely with Linkage Unit and Customer Service to meet data requirement from custodians.
