About the role:

Metropolitan Memorial Parks is seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join our ICT team on a 12 month termed contract. As a Data Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the development of accurate and reliable data management generated by our business systems.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead data remediation efforts by identifying and resolving gaps or inconsistencies across systems
  • Ensure data integrity by improving data entry practices and establishing a single source of truth
  • Create dashboards and Power BI reports to highlight data issues and deliver actionable insights
  • Support data initiatives, including data mapping, validation, testing, and reconciliation
  • Troubleshoot and provide support for data-related system issues
  • Gather data-related requirements and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver effective solutions
  • Present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in computing, business, science or related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in data analysis
  • Strong proficiency in tools such as SQL, Power BI and Excel
  • Change Control Skills
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working in the NSW Government is desirable
