As a Property Underwriter, QLD within our General Insurance business, you will work closely with Senior Underwriters to service new and existing business. You will develop and utilise a broad knowledge of our General Property product offering to handle complex tasks and support broker & customer enquiries. You will utilise your superior communication & organisational skills as you work toward achieving sales and retention targets, while regularly interacting and facing the market.

You will also be responsible for the following:

- Underwrite and manage a portfolio of Commercial Property insurance risks in accordance with company standards, underwriting authority, and service levels
- Assess and evaluate risk exposures to determine terms, premiums, and conditions
- Collaborate with brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders to develop tailored insurance solutions
- Contribute to portfolio profitability through sound underwriting judgment, pricing discipline, and risk selection
- Participate in client and broker meetings to build and maintain strong business relationships
- Provide technical expertise, mentoring, and support to junior underwriters as needed
- Maintain compliance with local regulatory and global Zurich requirements
- Contribute to product development and enhancement initiatives in the Property space

**Important to your success - let's grow together**
- Multiple years of Property underwriting experience within commercial/general insurance
- Tertiary qualification in insurance, business, or a related discipline (ANZIIF desirable)
- Proven ability to analyse and assess risk across various industry sectors
- Strong broker relationship management and negotiation skills
- Familiarity with insurance legislation and regulatory requirements in Australia
