About the Role

As a senior leader in our underwriting team, you will be responsible for driving profitable growth and excellence in property product delivery.

This role involves leading the implementation of underwriting strategy and ensuring alignment with group standards. You will work closely with technical portfolio managers and SMEs to develop and embed underwriting excellence.

You will also be responsible for reviewing and approving property business underwriting licences and licence amendments, while working within the technical framework.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and implementation of underwriting strategy and excellence for property product
  • Collaborate with technical portfolio managers and SMEs to ensure alignment with group underwriting standards
  • Review and approve property business underwriting licences and licence amendments
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience in property underwriting and general insurance industry within a people-leader role managing a multi-layered organisation
  • Demonstrated ability to partner and collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders, external partners and suppliers to establish strong professional relationships and influence outcomes
  • Extensive experience in developing and implementing business strategies aligned to the organisation's vision and purpose
