Seeking an experienced Facilities Officer to join a state government team from mid-March

**Your new company**

A government organisation based in Perth CBD, are seeking an experienced Facilities Officer to oversee and manage the department's facilities and building maintenance schedules and activities. For this role you will be predominantly based in Perth CBD, however with a requirement to work out of the Northern Suburbs office for the month of May. You will be required to work full-time hours and will be able to start immediately.

**Your new role**

As the Facilities Officer, you will support the Facilities Team Leader by:

- Liaising with suppliers, contractors and facilities management staff around building maintenance and assets
- Managing the sites' emergency systems and procedures
- Managing vehicle and parking arrangements on site
- Managing and allocating access cards to site staff and visitors
- Updating and maintaining the database with maintenance reports
- Undertaking inductions for staff, contractors and volunteers on site

**What you'll need to succeed**

In order to be considered for this role, you will demonstrate:

- Experience in building, construction or facilities management work
- Qualification in facilities management, mechanical, electrical or building related work
- An understanding of minor, routine and reactive maintenance work
- Strong IT skills with confidence using MS Office Excel, Outlook and Word
- Good communication skills
- Possession of a WA drivers' licence and vehicle
