Our client is a major worldwide food processor, who in keeping with their best practise are seeking a Logistics Coordinator (Fleet allocator) for their Brisbane-based site. The position has responsibility for overseeing key service objectives and drive a culture of continuous improvement. The successful applicant to this role will exhibit strong leadership skills and demonstrate experience driving continuous improvement culture.

Key Accountabilities:

- Provide conscientious and supportive leadership and direction.
- Be responsible for organising effective and timely delivery runs and route planning
- Troubleshooting transport related issues as they arise
- Ensure all health and safety procedures and food safety standards are adhered to.
- Be responsible for timely vehicle fleet maintenance.
- Undertake deliveries when necessary to assist the team
- Assist in the execution of stock-take (internal and external), damages reporting including posting, reconciliation variance analysis and consolidation of supporting documentation.

Applicant Requirements:

- Essential experience in an allocation role within the manufacturing sector (food preferred).
- Demonstrated knowledge of transport regulations and systems including 1-stop and container chain.
- Strong leadership and relationship building experience.
- Strong communication, influencing, problem solving and negotiation skills.
