Job Title

A Freight Forwarding Professional is needed to coordinate Domestic and Express Courier transportation requirements, including air freight and land transportation.

About the Role

This role reports to the QLD Operations Manager and involves coordinating all aspects of transportation movements. Responsibilities include ensuring cost effective buying for domestic collections and deliveries, coordinating quotes and tender requests, and monitoring transport movements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Co-ordinating collections and deliveries for cleared shipments and warehouse movements
  • Ensuring cost effective buying for domestic collections and deliveries
  • Coordinating quotes and tender requests for cost-effective transportation and project works
  • Ensuring all transport movements are promptly communicated to relevant parties in writing
  • Monitoring of domestic Hot Shot movements
  • Maintaining Transport Log with accurate information in a timely manner, including third party job costs
  • Corresponding warehouse deliveries with Insight warehouse receipts
  • Delivering high level customer service
  • Invoicing job files as per agreed contracted rates
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar position and knowledge of industry, customs and freight forwarding terminology. Strong problem solving skills and ability to work autonomously and within a team environment are also required.
