In this role, you will be primarily responsible for performing skilled carpentry duties in line with project requirements.
This role provides flexibility across different stages of construction projects, ensuring efficiency, quality, and adherence to workplace health and safety.
This position is a full-time ongoing position, based in Adelaide South Australia .
Main Tasks:-Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
-Measure, cut, assemble, and join timber, steel, and other materials.
-Construct and dismantle formwork, falsework, and temporary structures.
-Use, maintain, and safely operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery.
-Perform maintenance and repair of timber structures and components.
-Site preparation and cleaning.
-Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment.
-Erect temporary fencing, signage, and safety barriers.
-Provide general assistance to carpenters, trades, and site supervisors.
-Follow all site safety procedures and maintain a clean, safe workspace.Required/Relevant Qualifications & Work Experience:-Certificate III in Carpentry, and-A minimum of 1 years' full time work experience in the industry; OR 3 years' work experience in the industry to substitute the formal qualification.Required/Relevant Skills & Knowledge:-Comprehensive knowledge of carpentry techniques and best practices.
-Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools.
-Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
-Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
