Join our team today.About the roleWe're looking for a driven Logistics Lead to join our team at the Welshpool Facility, supporting the efficient flow of goods and services to our Australia West Assets operations.
Reporting to the Transport Manager, you'll play a key role in coordinating the receipt, storage, and transportation of materials, ensuring operational requirements are met safely and effectively.
This is a collaborative role where your focus on efficiency and accuracy will contribute directly to the success of our logistics operations.In this role, you will:Successfully coordinate Thiesslogisticsobjectives on time and within budgetEnsure that all necessary records are collated and filed in accordance with company policy, PMP, Statutory and contractual requirementsSeek Quotes from relevant suppliers in line with PolicySubmit and review compliance inspection formsPreview off-hire chargesRaise TRF to trip transport of assets to siteLiaise with Australia West Region Projects to ascertain timeframes for arrival of goods and componentryCoordinate of transportation and delivery solutions to ensure reliable and consistent transportPrepare manifests for freight services loaded and dispatched from the Welshpool facilityMaintain data and records relevant to the processing of parts carried out the distribution teamAdministration support for the Australia West Assets TeamsCash forecast, Month end transaction processing and reportingAll department cost coding & JDE entry are timely and correct.Utilise relevant systems to enter daily production and timesheet data and validate and run reports as requiredAbout you3+ years in a similar role supporting a busylogisticsand distribution teamExperience in the Mining Industry desirableJDE experience advantageousStrong Planning and Organising skillsAnalytical and strategic thinkerAbility to work within a team and be flexible with a "can do" attitudeWhat Thiess can do for youThiess' commitment to ongoing training & developmentHealth & wellbeing rewards program through AIA VitalitySalary continuance insuranceSalary sacrifice options – Flights & novated leasingRange of corporate discounts including health insurance (Medibank), travel & retail products.About usWe partner with our clients to deliver excellence in open cut and underground mining in Australia, Asia, Africa and the Americas.
