Play a key role in managing critical procurement activities and supplier relationships.

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Contracts and Procurement Specialist - Explosives to take a leading role in managing procurement and contracting activities for explosives in support of major mining operations. This role is ideal for someone with expertise in explosives procurement, a strong understanding of contracting practices, and the ability to work in a dynamic, globally connected environment.

**The Role**
- Lead and implement contracts for explosives, ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of critical products and services.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with operational and global stakeholders to ensure effective execution of complex contractual agreements.
- Oversee supplier relationships, ensuring contract performance and addressing operational challenges as they arise.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate category management objectives and drive value-added solutions.
- Proactively engage with local procurement efforts to strengthen partnerships with service providers and contribute to community development initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in supplier performance, commercial models, and supply chain strategies specific to explosives.
- Mentor and guide team members on best practices in contracting and procurement, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- Stay informed on legislative changes and regulatory impacts on procurement activities, particularly in the explosives sector.**

**Skills, Experience and Qualifications**:**
- At least 5 years of experience in procurement, contracting, or category management, with a focus on explosives or related industries.
- A solid understanding of contracting principles and supply chain management in the mining or resource sectors.
- Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Tertiary qualifications in business, legal, engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- Proficiency in English, with French language skills highly regarded (but not essential).
- Exposure to project procurement environments and familiarity with global supply chains.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- A demonstrated ability to foster collaboration and drive successful outcomes in a team-oriented environment.
