**Job Description**:
Albemarle is looking for an experienced mining professional to join our lithium resources group to manage our portfolio of non-operated joint ventures (JVs) in Western Australia. The Head of Joint Ventures will establish collaborative and influential relationships internally and externally to deliver win-win outcomes across our portfolio of JV interests. Given the pace of growth and importance of our JV interests, the Head of Joint Ventures will be required to operate with autonomy, skill, and agility across technical, leadership and functional disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

The role will work with operational, technical, project and functional support staff to align, problem solve and deliver against key strategic and operational objectives. The Head of Joint Ventures will build deep and enduring relationships with our partners and be a key interface between Albemarle's senior leadership.
- Ensures JVs meet operational and strategic objectives that have been aligned and agreed with JV and internal stakeholders
- Facilitates sharing of best practices to ensure safe and sustainable operations
- Builds credibility and influence with identified internal and external key stakeholders
- Lead internal functional resources to support and align JV decision making
- Creates, implements, and executes strategies, management plans and improvement initiatives to enable JV performance and value creation from mine to conversion.
- Enables and supports a world-class team culture
- Influences the adoption, development and creation of new technologies and tools to improve operational and strategic performance.
- Develops and tracks key risks and mitigations.

Work Experience / Technical Skill Requirements
- Experience in business development, joint ventures, or partnerships.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Strong project management skills.
- Ability to analyse financial data and make sound business decisions.
- Experience with mine operations, studies, and development projects
- Strong leadership skills.

Education / Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor of Engineering / Law / Business with experience in and around mining or natural resource operations
- 15+ years of global resource experience
