EL1 Assistant Director | Stakeholder Engagement and Government RelationsRandstad is seeking a proactive and skilled EL1 Assistant Director to join the Stakeholder Engagement and Government Relations team in a Federal Government Department.
In this critical role, you will provide coordination and advisory services related to stakeholder engagement and government relations, playing a leadership role in supporting the Departments Chair, Board, and CEO's external relationships.
This short-term contract is for approximately 14-18 weeks.Key Responsibilities:Provide strategic advice to senior stakeholders and manage government relations initiatives.Support the Chair, Board, and CEO in their external relationships, including Ministers and senior industry stakeholders.Lead direct engagement with senior executives and collaborate with teams across the agency.Establish and maintain effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including Ministers, government, market bodies, and industry advocates.Work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and competing priorities.Skills & Experience:Demonstrated experience in providing strategic advice on stakeholder and government relations, ideally within a Federal Government or State Government setting.Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to provide advice through briefings and correspondence.Proven experience in managing senior executive relationships with key stakeholders.Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to be personable and work well with internal and external stakeholders.Flexible problem-solving skills and the ability to collate and analyse information to make timely and effective decisions.Experience in stakeholder engagement and/or contributing to the development of communications plans.Important: Applicants must be Australian citizens and must possess or be willing to obtain a valid Australian Government security clearance.Apply Now:If you are a dynamic professional ready to take on a leadership role in stakeholder engagement and government relations, we encourage you to apply.
