About the Opportunity
We are seeking expressions of interest for the position of Area Manager. This is a key leadership opportunity for an experienced individual to support and drive service delivery, performance, compliance, and culture across designated service areas within Uniting.
As Area Manager, you will provide operational leadership and management across our residential aged care services, ensuring our values are embedded in daily practice while maintaining a focus on continuous improvement and person-centred care.
Key Responsibilities May Include
- Leading, developing and supporting Service Managers to deliver high quality care.
- Managing service performance, occupancy, revenue, and compliance targets.
- Fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence.
- Ensuring services operate in line with legislative, funding, and quality standards.
- Partnering with People & Culture, Clinical, Finance and Quality teams to enable service outcomes.
- Leading and supporting change management initiatives and service reviews.
- Contributing to strategic planning and operational improvements across your portfolio.
**Qualifications**:
- Tertiary qualifications in health, human services, aged care, business, or a related field.
- Current valid driver's licence and ability to travel across multiple sites.
Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated experience in operational leadership within aged care or a related sector.
- Proven ability to lead multi-site services and manage performance outcomes.
- Strong understanding of aged care legislation, funding, and compliance frameworks.
- Experience managing budgets, occupancy, and workforce strategy.
- Ability to develop high-performing teams and a collaborative, values-led culture.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced, changing environment.
