Our Brisbane operations team located in Morningside are now recruiting for either an Embalmer, Mortician or Mortuary Assistant. As an Embalmer/Mortician, you will provide related expertise in the Mortuary area and ensure excellence in customer service to clientele.

**Duties of an Embalmer include**:

- Embalming or mortuary responsibilities including the preparation and embalming for interment or cremation in accordance with legal requirements and with utmost respect for the deceased
- Properly and safely utilize embalming instruments and machinery in accordance with company guidelines
- Driving of transfer vehicles, hearses and other vehicles as required
- General maintenance of the facility including monitoring of stock levels
- Ensure acceptable Occupational Health and Safety standards are maintained.
- File burial permits and complete all necessary paperwork related to the death process

**About you**:

- Ability to care for, help and empathize with bereaved families
- Mortuary skills via in house training
- Sensitivity to and the ability to comply with religious and secular requirements
- Manual handling and lifting skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and without direct supervision
- In a fit state and psychological health to adequately perform manual handling, manage stress and carry out other inherent requirements of the position
- Be at ease working with grieving families and the deceased
- Possess a full unrestricted driver's license
