As a Funeral Services Assistant, you will engage in an integral role supporting funeral services, viewings and transfers. Key Responsibilities:

  • ">">">
  • Providing best practice in the preparation and presentation of deceased persons">">
  • Encoffin and present the deceased to our standards and in accordance to special family requests">">
  • Providing assistance to the Embalmer when required">">
  • Accurately completing mortuary registration and checking procedures">">
  • Maintaining, cleaning and sterilising mortuary facilities and equipment">">
  • Performing coffin/casket trimming and engraving">">
  • Organising time efficiently and monitoring daily workflow">">
  • Monitoring stock levels and preparing orders as directed">

  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service at all levels">">
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team">">
  • Current unrestricted driver's license">">
  • Previous experience in mortuary and completion of the Mortuary Technician's course preferred">">
  • Ability to communicate effectively">">
  • In a fit state of physical and psychological health to be able to adequately perform the role">">
  • Be at ease working with grieving families and the deceased">">
  • Good attention to detail and the ability to follow direction">
