As a Funerals Director Assistant, you will engage in an integral role supporting funeral services, viewings and transfers. **As a Mortician you will be responsible for**:

- Providing best practice in the preparation and presentation of deceased persons
- Encoffin and present the deceased to InvoCare standards and in accordance to special family requests.
- Provide assistance to the Embalmer when required
- Accurately complete mortuary registration and checking procedures
- Maintain, clean and sterilise mortuary facilities and equipment
- Perform coffin/casket trimming and engraving
- Organise time efficiently and monitor daily workflow
- Monitor stock levels and prepare orders as directed.

**About you**:

- Ability to provide exceptional customer service at all levels
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Current unrestricted drivers license
- Previous experience in mortuary and completion of the Mortuary Technician's course preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively
- In a fit state of physical and psychological health to be able to adequately perform the role
- Be at ease working with grieving families and the deceased
- Good attention to detail and the ability to follow direction.
