Anatomist Educator

The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of laboratory teaching sessions, preparation of anatomical specimens, and contribution to training students and staff in dissection and prosection techniques.

• Preparing anatomical specimens for educational purposes
• Assisting with the body donor program to support student learning
• Training students and staff in safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment
• Maintaining compliance with relevant health regulations and standards
• Monitoring and supporting student wellbeing to ensure a respectful learning environment
• Reviewing and updating Standard Operating Procedures and Risk Assessments for anatomy laboratory operations
• Maintaining laboratory cleanliness and organisation to ensure efficiency
• Contributing to laboratory teaching activities to enhance student knowledge

We are seeking someone with:

• A strong background in anatomy, biological sciences, or a related discipline to deliver exceptional outcomes
• Experience in human dissection, prosection, and embalming techniques to support student learning
• An understanding of health and safety regulations related to anatomical teaching laboratories to ensure a safe environment
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills to manage competing priorities
• The ability to work compassionately with body donors and their bereaved families to provide emotional support
• A collaborative approach and a commitment to supporting student learning to achieve academic success

• A postgraduate degree in anatomy, biological sciences, or a related field
• At least 2 years of experience in anatomy education or a related field
• Proven experience in human dissection, prosection, and embalming techniques
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations related to anatomical teaching laboratories
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
