**The Opportunity**
The Group External Communications team exists to build Woolworths' brand and reputation as Australia's most trusted retailer - creating better experiences for customers, team members and communities. In this role you will be supporting the PR and Media Relations Practice in Brand and Reputation. You will also assist in the delivery of ongoing positive messaging around the Woolworths Group via media as well as support for the broader team on a project or ad hoc basis as required.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Also support with out of hours media hotline as required (at least one night per week and occasional weekend)
- Ensure messaging and activity across earned media activity delivers against the business strategy and differentiates Woolworths Group from key competitors.
- Foster key relationships with media who have the ability to impact customer, business and community perceptions of the brand.
- Support the management of tools used by the broader team including media monitoring services, media release distribution platform and liaison with finance with the support of Head of Media Relations and PR.
- Communications support on ad hoc projects and also support team members on other campaigns both proactive and reactive.

**About You**
- Public Relations and Media Engagement experience - agency or in-house
- At least 1-2 years experience in PR/ Media/ Journalism
- Ability to write in a clear and concise manner
- Organised and able to juggle multiple tasks
- Confidence in getting up to speed quickly on reactive issues.
- Understanding of the Australian media landscape
- Comfortable in fast paced environments and ability to function effectively under pressure
