**The Opportunity**

Come and discover the opportunity to join our Australian Steel Markets team as a Specification Manager located in Braeside VIC. As BlueScope continues to grow as a business, we continue to strengthen and develop our people. We need to ensure we have the right mindsets, capabilities and skills to create and inspire smart solutions in steel to strengthen our communities for the future.

In this strategic role, working within our product specification sales team, you will develop and manage relationships with key industry specifiers to inspire and motivate them to design and build using our iconic products, such as COLORBOND and TRUECORE steel products. This will ensure we are in the best position to compete for the targeted building and construction projects now and in the future.

**What Will You Do?**

Building strong collaborative relationships with our technical, sales and marketing teams, you will:

- identify business opportunities and industry stakeholders through strategic business development activity, research and industry networking events
- engage with architects, designers, asset owners, developers, and builders to stimulate interest in, increase knowledge of and inspire them to use our products to secure specification
- liaise with internal sales and marketing teams within your business unit to connect channel partners with suitable customers to deliver solutions and commercial outcomes

As an innovative professional who is exceptional at networking and building sustainable relationships, you will bring:

- ability to utilise different tools and methods to identify potential business opportunities and industry connections (including industry sources, CRM databases, and digital or social networking tools)
- demonstrated success in developing business through an indirect channel environment
- experience managing a sales pipeline that has a medium to long-term lead time
- ability to navigate complex sales channels and deal with ambiguity
- knowledge of the construction sector
