
Specification Specialist

The Spec Manager plays a vital role in the sales team, reporting directly to the CEO. The primary focus is on leading and managing the specification process across all residential projects, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective, and buildable selections that align with customer expectations and business objectives.
The successful candidate will develop and manage the operations of specification management, ensuring efficient workflow and accurate documentation, while securing the pipeline for the proceeding financial year's budget. Additionally, they will:
- Strategically partner and maintain strong relationships with land developers, vendors, suppliers, and council authorities;
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with team members to establish goals and performance, providing feedback and guidance;
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes;
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies;
- Conduct regular analyses and reporting on performance, seeking opportunities for continuous improvement and business growth.
Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess experience leading teams within the residential construction industry, with a solid working knowledge of building and construction regulations and processes. They will also have a collaborative mindset, with the ability to influence and negotiate, drive innovative solutions that align with long-term business goals, and model the organisation's values.
