We're seeking a seasoned Availability Engineer to join our team.
Job Overview
In this critical role, you'll be responsible for ensuring the reliability and availability of our global infrastructure. You'll work closely with our AWS Infrastructure Services team to design, plan, deliver, and operate all global infrastructure.
You'll support data centers and servers, ensuring continual customer access to innovation. Your expertise will be invaluable in developing lessons learnt strategies through incident management processes, including emergency calls participation, 48-hour report contribution, and implementation using 5 whys methodology.
You'll review and inspect Root Cause Analysis and lead discussions for corrective actions related to site/equipment failures. Additionally, you'll contribute to regular Colocation availability reporting, define Corrective global program implementation through strategic action plans, workflows development, and mentoring of regional teams.
As a key member of our team, you'll provide technical direction for the SPOF (Single Point of Failure) program, including availability strategies, approval of remediation designs, and global Risk Reduction Library. You'll also handle technical escalations on first-of-a-kind design features, projects, and product deployments.
