Job Overview

AWS manages the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all global infrastructure.

The team supports all data centers and equipment to ensure customers have continual access to our services.

You'll join a diverse group of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles.

Collaborate with teams across AWS to deliver high safety and security standards while providing immense capacity at low cost.

Foster an inclusive culture that encourages bold ideas and ownership to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake routine maintenance and emergency service of critical systems.
  • Install new rack capacity and provision power and cooling.
  • Manage contractors and vendors on-site ensuring work complies with established practices.
  • Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports/documentation of critical facility operations and maintenance.
  • Generate change management and incident tickets for facility-related events.

Collaborate with data center IT managers and business leaders to coordinate day-to-day operations, manage capacity, and optimize plant safety, performance, reliability, sustainability, and efficiency.

Additional Role Requirements
  • This role may involve bending, lifting, stretching, reaching, and climbing ladders, stairs, and gangways safely.
  • On-call support requirement to provide 24x7 support which may change based on business needs.
  • Candidates should possess a valid driver's license and own vehicle due to site locations.
Basic Qualifications
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience in facilities management within a data center or other critical space.
  • Experience with physical security protocols and adherence to safety standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel) and web-based tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems in a data center.
  • Experience in mission-critical facility management for large enterprises or large Colocation providers.
