Serafino is family owned by the Maglieri Family, with a long history dating back to the 70s, and approx. 350 acres of vines over the McLaren Vale, Whites Valley & Willunga regions surrounding McLaren Vale.

We grow premium grapes in our 400 acres of vineyards, with well known McLaren Vale favourites such as Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay, as well as Italian varieties including Sangiovese, Fiano, Primitivo and Montepulciano.

The Assistant Manager's position is a full time, hands-on role working across every area of production.

The successful applicant will have a sound understanding of vineyard machinery and viticulture operations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Full time position, with formal training in horticulture or viticulture preferred, but extensive experience is essential.
- Hands-on vineyard management role
- Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; pruning, spraying, canopy management, tractor operation, irrigation etc.
- Practical hands-on machinery maintenance
- Supervision of staff when required
- Safe, efficient operation of vineyard equipment
- Reporting of farm activities to the Manager
- Some record keeping and administrative tasks
- The ability to work within a team, and to work independently without supervision
- Ability to work extended hours for vintage operations
- Ability to work flexible hours as required due to weather conditions (ie: spraying and watering) which sometimes include weekend work

Job Requirements

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
- Chemical User Permit or willingness to complete
- Forklift license (desired)
- Current/valid Australian Driver's License (exp. with manual vehicles)
- First aid training (an advantage)
