Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Vineyard Specialist to join our team.

This role involves undertaking various vineyard tasks, including conducting vineyard assessments, monitoring and reporting on bud burst, shoot counts, bunch counts, pruning requirements, harvesting processes, and irrigation checks.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake vineyard tasks as directed by the Viticulture Manager, adhering to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
  • Conduct Vineyard Assessment processes and provide recommendations.
  • Monitor and report on various aspects of vineyard operations, including bud burst, shoot counts, bunch counts, pruning requirements, harvesting processes, securing canopy wires, irrigation checks, and repairs.
  • Perform general agriculture maintenance tasks, including whipper snipping, weed removal, and olive tree removal.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Complete data entry and reporting as required.
  • Develop an understanding of vineyards, seasonality functions, and requirements.
  • Aid in the development of lasting relationships with growers.
  • Conduct fruit weight assessments and maintain a thorough understanding of grape flavour spectrum.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in vineyard operations is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of viticulture practices is essential.
  • Completed or willingness to complete Certificate III in Wine Industry Operations (Viticulture) or other relevant certificates.
  • A current Driver's Licence is required.
