We are looking for a Trainee Metro Planner Scheduler, who has some experience in Warehousing Operations. You must have a passion for safety, customer service and efficiency to be part of the Sands Team.
Experience with temperature-controlled freight is desirable but not essential.

**Key Responsibilities Include**:

- Actively drive a safety culture by ensuring all incidents and hazards are reported immediately
- Updating the daily Metro Bookings Sheet for deliveries
- Updating the daily Metro Pickups Sheet for local pickups
- Updating activities for pickups in the ERP System currently using Abecas
- Maintain good records of activities
- For any less busy periods, learn the other activities within the department for Planning & Scheduling of trips for our Cold Storage Vehicle Fleet
- Provide accurate reporting based on your own activities
- Contribute to positive customer relationships by ensuring customers are kept informed of any service issues eg delays
- Be action orientated to drive results
- Contribute to team development with the purpose of improving performance
- The overall objective will be that after a period of 12 months, you will be able to run the daily activities of Planning & Scheduling with mínimal assistance

**To be considered you will need**:

- Minimum 2 years experience in Logistics/Warehousing
- Some systems experience (erp interface) Abacus or similar
- Good MS Office skills
- Demonstrated organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and deal with multiple activities simultaneously
- Demonstrated experience dealing with internal and external stakeholders
- Be flexible with working hours - 4am start required
