Access Your Supports is a Geelong based organisation that provides support and services to eligible participants of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). With offices in Geelong, Colac and Mildura and over 190 employees, AYS is dedicated to ensuring participants have choice and control to best assist them to achieve their NDIS goals.
AYS Director Ralph Menchise has brought together a team of experienced professionals who are passionate about positive participant outcomes. Not only does Access Your Supports deliver quality support services and empower participants to achieve their life goals with the services available to them under the NDIS, Access Your Supports will also work closely with participants to implement a plan that will work.
**ABOUT THE ROLE**
The Participant Services Lead (Therapy) will report directly to the Assistant Director and is responsible for providing support across Access Your Supports therapy services. With a focus on leadership and ensuring seamless service delivery, this role will work with senior therapists to take a quality and continuous improvement approach by identifying and driving improvement to increase efficiency and effectiveness of clinical operation and business development. The position will have responsibility for Occupational Therapy, Early Intervention, Behaviour Support and Psychology.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide support to the Assistant Director to lead the delivery of Participant Services to achieve business objectives specifically in Occupational Therapy, Early Intervention, Behaviour Support and Psychology.
- Lead by working collaboratively with Managers and Senior Therapists leading a participant service area to plan, develop and oversee the organisation's business outcomes in line with strategy objectives.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with all participant services staff to encourage and provide strong professional leadership.
- Work collaboratively with Seniors and the Human Resources team to support recruitment and induction process and the identification of talent needs within AYS.
- Monitor and report on recommendations to enable efficient, effective high quality service delivery that is compliant with funding guidelines.
- Assess and ensure the delivery of support to participants is sustainable and identify business growth opportunities.
- Research and identify new opportunities - including new and existing markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services.
- Establish service expansion objectives by identifying new opportunities and creating an operational plan for the region aligned with organisational objectives.
- Together with the Assistant Director, monitor and review key performance indicators for senior department employees that are linked to the budget, strategic and operational plans, program objectives and reporting requirements.
- Provide high level Quality Assurance across AYS Therapy services.
**WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR**
- Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Behaviour Support or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years' experience in disability sector
- Minimum 3 years' experience managing a multi-disciplinary team
- Demonstrable leadership and supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and disability industry.
