We are a contemporary style 4.5 star comfort hotel conveniently located in the very heart of Melbourne on fashionable Collins Street close to the Town Hall, Federation Square and retail and theatre districts. Featuring 380 guest rooms and suites, bar and restaurant, swimming pool and gym with 8 flexible conference & function venues feature state-of-the-art, conference technology. The ballroom accommodates events of up to 400 delegates in a theatre-style setup or 230 guests for banquets.
**Job Description**:
As a leader of our front office operations team, you will support the Front Office Manager in creating welcoming places and memorable experiences not only for our guests but also for your team. You will be a hands-on operator and will be passionate about connecting with people and thrive on manoeuvring through the unpredictable nature of our industry
What you will be doing:
You will support the Front Office Manager in
- Leading and managing all aspects of the front office department and ensure all service standards are followed with a friendly and engaging service
- Handling guests' feedback and be proactive in tracking and notifying proper areas to create peak moments for our guests
- Providing guidance and engaging the team through their talent journey and understanding that every person has a story
- Reviewing current and implementing new policies and procedures
- Building and maintaining good relationship with all stakeholders
**Qualifications**:
Your experience and skills include:
- Previous leadership role in a small to medium size property in an Assistant Manager/Hotel Duty manager role is a must
- Understanding of hotel property management system (preferably OPERA)
- Conflict resolution and negotiation skills
- Proven ability to build and maintain good relationships
- Previous experience in leading a team
