In the role of Manager, you will manage strategic policy, frameworks, projects and programs that provide direction for the development of the transport system in Queensland.Accountabilities include: - Manage the development and implementation of complex issues relating to strategic transport policy, frameworks, projects and/or programs for the transport system in Queensland. Inform and coordinate the strategic positioning activities of TMR in response to emerging customer requirements and local, state and national transport system policy and issues. Coordinate the identification, research and analysis a broad range of issues, risks and challenges confronting the transport system, including emerging customer requirements. Prepare timely and well researched authoritative advice on transport system matters, policy and challenges to ministerial staff and executive management. Develop and maintain effective partnerships with stakeholders across the department, government, industry and community. Represent the department as required in relation to organisational and local, state and national issues and policies. Lead and participate in project teams, comprising internal and external resources to develop and implement policy and projects within agreed quality, cost and time parameters. Manage a program of work and a team, including the coordination of a broad range of policy and project tasks and activities, and day-to-day resourcing requirements. Employs project and program management techniques. Create a positive work environment that supports continuous improvement. This role reports to the Director, Strategic Directions and has two direct reports.
