Senior Human Resources Business Partner

A unique opportunity to contribute to the strategic direction and operational capability of a department delivering essential services to Queenslanders.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Developing strong partnerships with business areas to understand operational needs and deliver tailored HR solutions.
  • Providing high-level, evidence-based advice on employee relations, case management, performance issues, workforce planning, and change management.
  • Interpreting and applying public sector legislation, directives, industrial instruments, and policies.
  • Managing and contributing to strategic people projects and the development/review of HR policies and procedures.
  • Representing the department in external industrial forums and preparing expert documentation for commissions and tribunals.
  • Supporting workforce planning efforts and contributing to leadership development and succession initiatives.

The ideal candidate will be a solutions-focused HR professional with knowledge of employment and industrial relations in the Queensland public sector, experience in managing complex and sensitive HR matters, and strong stakeholder engagement skills.
