As an Aviation Safety Training Instructor, you will be responsible for the delivery of Emergency Procedures, Dangerous Goods, Human Factors, Aviation Medical and Security Training courses.
You will also deliver both theoretical instruction and practical training, examinations and assessments to Qantas Aircrew, Qantas Group and external customers aircrew ensuring all CASA and IATA requirements and company standards are met.
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following skills & experience:
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE), Diploma of
- Education/TAE, degree in education, or equivalent education
- Qualification.
- Hold current Advanced First Aid Certificate or equivalent
- Hold a current Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate
- Previously held a CASA 20.11 Instrument under the Qantas Group or have operated under another Australian based operator (highly desirable)
- Training experience in other highly regulated industries (highly desirable)
- Personnel from other emergency service industries such as paramedic, fire and rescue services (considered)
- Good administrative and computer skills in Microsoft Office packages
- You will be positive, resilient, empathetic and personable
- Able to manage a busy workload within time limitations
- Able to demonstrate a high level of written and verbal communication
- Be a fit and capable swimmer, swim 50 meters and tread water for 3 minutes
- Be able to work shift work
- Ability to travel as and when required both domestically and internationally
