**The Role**:
The Planning Analyst role assists and supports the Merchandise Planner in the achievement of budgeted sales, gross profit and inventory productivity measures. Reporting to the Merchandise Planner, it's a broad inventory-based role where you will get the opportunity to directly influence our profitability through data-based decision making. The role will be involved in:

- Reporting
- Analysis
- Core line management
- Allocation support
- Inventory management and control

**Your Key Responsibilities will include but limited to**:

- Monitoring sales data and stock levels and highlighting changes and proposing actions.
- Building and producing reports.
- Conducting analysis and making recommendations.
- Core Line forecasting and purchase planning.
- Managing inter store transfers (consolidations).
- Supporting the allocation process through guiding and coaching the Allocator.
- Post Seasonal department and categories analysis and reporting.
- Markdown reporting and modelling and event planning.
- Management of month end process in-line with Company requirements.
- Running ad-hoc reports as required

**To succeed in this role, you will need to have**:

- Previous experience in Allocation Replenishment (highly advantageous)
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Ability to understand data and analytics and make recommendations as a result.
- Product forecasting experience.
- Proven ability to manage inventory through prior analytical/commercial role with a good understanding of merchandise inventory basics.
- Ability to take a proactive approach and think strategically.
- Advanced excel skills with the ability to champion excel based projects.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
