**About the role**:
Partner with the Mortlake BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) project team by providing HSE assurance, risk management and leadership with a view to ensuring continual improvement in behaviours and risk controls on the project.

**12 month contract**

- Promote a high performing, positive and proactive workplace health and safety culture.
- Take a proactive approach to HSE risk mitigation ensuring we operate in line with plans, policies and legislation requirements.
- Represent Origin's HSE interests in project meetings and workshops.
- Work closely with the project team and principal contractors to ensure HSE expectations are monitored and met.
- Work as part of the broader project team to identify health and safety risks, and assurance is undertaken in line with requirements.
- Provide advice, support, coaching and mentoring to promote a strong culture of learning and continuous improvement.

**What will you bring?**
- Previous HSE Principal experience on a construction project is essential
- Relevant trade qualifications e.g. Civil / Electrical / Mechanical; Cert 4 or Diploma in Workplace HSE; Certified OHS Professional with AIHS; Investigation (ICAM) and Audit-Learning qualified; First Aid qualified.
- Working knowledge of applicable HSE legislation, standards and Code of Practice in Victoria
- Incident investigations and assurance experience
- Skilled in leading, coaching, mentoring and consultation.
- Live locally to the position for the duration.
