We are an Australian owned and operated company located in Hallam, Victoria with more than 40 years' experience in the manufacturing industry, supplying quality products to Australian and International markets. We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter & Turner to join our Maintenance team.

You will be reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor and support our production department operating a wide range of manufacturing machinery. The role will focus on production continuity and efficiency by undertaking preventive maintenance activities, identifying issues as well as repairs and fabrication. Days and hours are 38 hours per week Monday to Friday from 7am to 3pm.

Duties:
- Assess, prioritise and plan your tasks
- Liaise with Maintenance Supervisor to plan and schedule preventive maintenance
- Respond to breakdowns from root cause to successful repair ensuring quality output
- Use of milling machinery, lathes, cut off saw, surface grinder, welders (stick, mig & tig), hand held grinders, drills and pedestal drill
- Ensure all inventory and equipment are serviced, properly stored and in good condition
- Adjustments to machinery settings as required
- Fabrication to specs as required
- Be actively involved in tool box meetings

Attributes:
- Must have 5 years' experience in similar role
- Must have experience with operating the above-mentioned tools and machinery
- A safety-first attitude, if you see something act on it
- Reliability and punctuality
- Be a team player
- Must be able to work independently
- Forklift and EWP licenses desirable

This role would suit an appropriately experienced Fitter & Turner looking to join a friendly team, have more family time with a 3pm finish and expand on your experience and knowledge.

Successful applicants will be required to provide two recent working references & proof of Australian Work Rights.
