**About the role**

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Maintenance Fitter to join our dynamic team. As the Lead Maintenance Fitter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility by overseeing all aspects of maintenance and repair activities.

**Tasks and Responsibilities**
- Lead and supervise a small team of internal fitters
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimise downtime
- Coordinate with production teams and external contracts for repairs of equipment
- Conduct routine inspections and troubleshoot mechanical issues to identify root causes
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, including work orders, equipment logs, and inventory of spare parts.

**Experience and Qualifications**
- Trade qualified mechanical fitter ideally with welding experience
- High mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Experience in high speed packaging, chemical or FMCG
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.
