Job Overview
We are seeking a talented professional to join our team in a permanent, full-time capacity. Based in Sydney or another capital city, this role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment where you can make a real impact.
This is a true all-rounder communications and corporate affairs role with variety and opportunity at every turn. You'll drive impactful communications and change initiatives, craft dynamic and engaging content, and contribute to fostering a positive, collaborative culture.
You'll support operational and technical teams to deliver exceptional service to customers while gaining exposure to a wide range of tasks, including social media, internal and corporate communications, events, stakeholder relations, and media engagement.

Key Responsibilities
Design and deliver communications and corporate affairs campaigns.
Create high-quality internal and corporate communications for multiple channels.
Advise senior and operational leaders on communications strategies.
Manage the employee, customer, and stakeholder culture calendar, campaigns and marketing event program.
Oversee and grow our social media presence and content strategy.
Develop engaging digital content (written and visual).
Research and analyse key maritime, political, and current affairs issues and legislation.
Support the Advocacy and Stakeholder Engagement Program.
Requirements
Tertiary qualifications or equivalent work experience in communications, public relations, journalism, law, or a ministerial environment.
A hard-working, curious, and proactive mindset, taking initiative, seeking opportunities to learn, and approach challenges with creativity.
Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills, fostering trust and working effectively with colleagues, leaders, and external partners.
Exceptional writing and digital content creation abilities, producing clear, engaging communications tailored to various audiences and platforms.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, approaching challenges logically, asking insightful questions, and developing effective solutions.
A strategic outlook for effective communications advice, aligning communication strategies with goals and deliver impactful messaging.
Excellent organisational skills, managing competing priorities effectively, delivering high-quality work on time.
