Gateways is recognized and respected for our expertise in supporting children and adults with a broad range of disabilities including autism, intellectual disabilities, developmental delays, challenging behaviors and complex medical needs. We currently provide services throughout the Geelong region, Western Melbourne, Warrnambool and Southwest Victoria.

Services includes early intervention and therapy, support coordination, group recreation and skill development activities, individual in-home support as well as parent support and education, day activities, housing and support for adults as well as children in out of home care.

**About the role**

We have a wonderful opportunity for an experienced people leader to join our Individual Support Program in Western Melbourne. Seeking a passionate people person who has the ability engage with a wide range of families and lead a team of support workers to assist people with disabilities to achieve their goals. You will excel at juggling multiple tasks, be responsive to clients' needs and bring your energy and ideas to lead the individual support team.

**To be eligible for this position you will require (Key Selection Criteria)**:

- A demonstrated understanding of the principles of the Disability Act 2006, the NDIS Act 2013, the Victorian State Disability Plan, Victorian Human Rights, Dignity of Risk and Duty of Care
- A demonstrated understanding of the principles of the Commonwealth Home Support Program and the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission
- Industry Specific Experience
- Experience and knowledge of the NDIS and Aged Care system
- At least 1 years' demonstrated experience supervising support staff
- Sound computer skills, sound knowledge of client databases.
- Excellent communication skills verbal, non-verbal and written.
- Good negotiation and influencing skills.
- Well-developed interpersonal & organisational skills.
- Commitment to excellent participant outcomes.
- Ability to work effectively in a changing environment.

**Successful applicant must have or willing to obtain**:

- New Worker NDIS Induction Module (free online)
- Current First Aid and CPR qualifications
- Working With Children Employment Checks
- NDIS Screening Check Clearance
- Triple COVID Vaccination
- Current Driver's License
- Disclosure of any pre-existing injuries or diseases that would affect you performing the position.
