**MINING MECHANICAL TRADESPERSON**

**_ About the role_**

The Bloomfield Group is seeking to employ an experienced Mechanical Tradesperson to join the maintenance team at Bloomfield Open Cut Mine. The successful person will be responsible for supporting the achievement of safety and production targets by providing a high quality and timely maintenance service to operations within the Bloomfield Group.

**_ Key Responsibilities_**
- Provide safe, effective and efficient mechanical maintenance service to operations within the Bloomfield Group
- Ensure reasonable targets are met with safety as the priority
- Provide maintenance and breakdown support on mobile and fixed plant
- Perform quality inspections of machinery and document as per legislative and operational requirements
- Demonstrate excellent housekeeping and equipment care and encourage others to maintain housekeeping standards

**_Essential Criteria_**
- Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices
- Mechanical trade qualification (Plant Mechanic / Fitter)
- Knowledge of standards and statutory requirements
- Experience in troubleshooting and diagnostics
- Proven ability to build proactive relationships and to work as part of a team
- Current NSW Driver's Licence

**_Desirable Criteria_**
- Appropriate WorkCover tickets are desirable (i.e. Dogging, Basic Rigging, Crane, Forklift)
- Experience in the repair and maintenance open cut mining equipment
- Experience in maintaining and operating in a CHPP environment
