An exciting opportunity exists for a Cultural Advisor - Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Identified, who undertakes a lead role in the development of a culturally safe workforce. This includes the design and delivery of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cultural Practice Program (CPP), supporting and developing career pathways for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Directorate works across all facilities and provides high quality care and support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. This is achieved with a multidisciplinary team approach to complex care for patients and their families, including inpatient support, case management, care coordination through the health service and a supported transition back into primary care.

**Key Responsibilities include**:

- Demonstrate a high-level understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander inequities, and health issues to deliver informed, evidence based culturally appropriate education including knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure the successful coordination, delivery, and evaluation of the Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander Cultural Practice Program (CPP).
- Coordinate and promote a range of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culturally significant events within the SCHHS and wider community.
