**The company**
Pattison & Walker has been engaged to recruit an AP/AR Officer for a rapidly growing, multi-national property business based in the Melbourne CBD. Our client is a dynamic and progressive business, who are currently expanding their operations into different markets. They are enjoying a strong period of growth and require an AP/AR Officer to look after their Australian operations.
**The role**
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller and working in a high performing team, this opportunity is available on a permanent full-time basis. This is a hybrid Accounts Payable and Receivable position and will also include some elements of finance and accounting-related duties.
Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:
- Database management - ensure current creditor information is up to date, set up new creditors and disable inactive creditors
- Load creditor invoices/credit notes via invoice register into the system and code these correctly
- Send invoices to approvers and ensure they are approved in a timely manner
- Ensure invoices are paid by the due date especially if prompt payment discount is available
- Create payment batches and upload file to banking system ready for authorisation
- Ensure main payment run occurs on a weekly basis
- Month end processing and close off AP processing
- Process inter-company recharges
- Raise recharge invoices and ensure that the revenue and expenses of these match before monthly close off
- Month end processing and close off AR processing
- Process receipts on a daily basis
- Assistance with cashflow planning
- Assistance with the preparation of yearly budgets
- Assistance with compliance tasks
- General Administration assistance including filing and archiving as required
With a strong knowledge of Accounts Payable and Receivable, experience within the property sector and/or a high volume position will be highly desirable. Yardi experience and strong Excel skills will be looked upon favourably. You will require great initiative, strong organisational skills and a customer service focus. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and will thrive in a team environment. You will be capable of building strong working relationships.
