The Opportunity

The Daikin Trade Center (DTC) supports existing and new trade customers in the Air Conditioning and accessories market. An exciting opportunity is now available for a combined role in our Baringa DTC working as a trade counter saleperson and warehouse storeperson.

Reporting to the Trade Centre Supervisor, this hands-on role is responsible for providing a professional customer service to Daikin customers through the prompt processing and managing of sales orders. Inclusive of general warehouse duties.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited, to:

- Presenting our company in the best possible light by establishing, developing, and maintaining professional business and customer relationships.
- Accurately preparing and capturing sales orders, processing stock movements, and processing EFT payments.
- Promptly and professionally tend to customer enquiries and keep customers informed on their sales orders and delivery.
- Receive internal and external supplier deliveries
- Pick material based on internal and external customer requirements
- Pack customer orders by following packing procedures and ensuring the inclusion of all relevant labelling and delivery docket.
- Despatch completed orders by loading delivery trucks

The person
- Strong customer service skills, and the ability to communicate clearly and succinctly.
- A high level of attention to detail, diligence, and resilience to perform tasks with care.
- Knowledge of, and experience in, the HVAC industry is an advantage but not essential.
- Some experience in retail sales.
- Data Entry experience and exposure to SAP or a similar system will be advantageous.
- A current forklift license will be advantageous
