
Counsellor - Sexual Abuse Program (Toowoomba)

**About the Role**
- This position provides counselling and therapeutic services to children and young people; i_ncluding assessments, pre
- and post-evaluations and interventions. This position also liaises _with a broad network of stakeholders who participate in or impact on the success of client _plans, referrals and goals._
**This role will be a under the SCHADS L4. Salary commensurate with experience plus superannuation plus salary packaging available**
As a Counsellor the key duties will include but not limited to
- Provide assessment, intervention planning and support to children and young people
- Identify client needs and deliver appropriate services within available resources, continually assessing effectiveness and responding to changing needs and dynamics
- Support and provide opportunities for life and personal skill development for clients
- Complete relevant assessments which underpin the therapeutic goals, intervention plans, casework and support for clients
- Liaise and interact with a broad network of stakeholders who participate in or impact on the successful outcomes for our clients and families
**About You**
- Degree in Counselling, Psychology, Behavioural Sciences, Social Work, or related discipline from a recognised institution
- Demonstrated experience developing individualised and/or family treatment plans and in conducting thorough and holistic assessments, reviewing the effectiveness of programs and plans and the ability to work with the non-offending parent, carer or family
- Queensland Provisional Green or above Driver's License
- Evidence of a current vaccination against whooping cough or willingness to obtain prior to commencement unless applicable exemption provided
