**About this 20 month Fixed Term opportunity**:
Reporting to the Head of Workplace Relations, you'll be the driving force behind ensuring that all aspects of workplace relations, investigations, and compliance are conducted fairly and in alignment with Scope's values and legislative requirements. You will provide invaluable guidance and expertise to our People team in NSW, supporting them in navigating the complex landscape of workplace relations. You will play a crucial role in implementing legislative changes, supporting enterprise agreement negotiations, and fostering a culture of collaboration and inclusivity. Your expertise will contribute to the resolution of a wide range of workplace relations issues, ensuring a thriving and harmonious work environment.

**Your stakeholders**:
Along with working closely with your internal stakeholders both in NSW and colleagues in Victoria where needed, you will engage with relevant Unions, government organisations, the Fair Work Commission, & other legislative bodies associated with workplace relations compliance. Collaboration with external legal advisors will also be a part of your role.

**Key accountabilities**:

- Provide timely advice and information to the People team on workplace relations matters.
- Contribute to consultation and change management planning, offering WR perspective.
- Interpret policy frameworks, industrial instruments, legislation, and provide advice.
- Represent Scope in the Fair Work Commission, including conciliation conferences.
- Coordinate Union consultation mechanisms and support the development of project and consultation plans.
- Develop and implement tools and resources to address performance issues and grievances.
- Recommend changes to policies and procedures to accommodate external requirements.
- Professionally manage sensitive or significant WR matters, including investigations.
- Provide analysis and reporting on WR matters, recommending solutions.
- Proactively identify opportunities for long-term effective customer relationships.
- Support the development of the People team's skills in employment legislation, policy, and practices.
- Prepare relevant documentation and ensure reporting and administrative requirements are efficiently managed.
- Represent the People portfolio on organizational projects and working groups.

**Ideal qualifications**:

- Qualified in Industrial Relations, Human Resource Management, or similar.
- A minimum of 5 years of strong Workplace Relations experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary workplace relations issues, statutory and regulatory frameworks, and Australian legislative frameworks.
- Experience in problem-solving, root cause analysis, and negotiating with Unions.
- Commitment to customer service and business improvement processes.
- Comprehensive knowledge of and commitment to workplace safety.
