The Opportunity
The below accountabilities comprise a high-level summary of the various duties shared across the legal team in its day-to-day function.
As Graduate Lawyer, you will support the legal team in these duties to ensure the team meets the business's needs.
As your capabilities develop, you will assume responsibility for certain functions of the team.
Assisting with the review, drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts across various areas (including procurement, supply chain, marketing, operations, property, and manufacturing), both domestically and internationally
Supporting the delivery of practical and commercial legal advice on day-to-day matters and business projects.
Helping to identify potential legal risks and working with the legal team and stakeholders to develop practical solutions.
Assisting with the legal review process for product packaging, labelling, influencer agreements, licensing arrangements, brand partnerships and digital marketing initiatives.
Assisting in compliance and governance activities such as policy reviews, legal training, and development of tools and checklists.
Supporting the legal and commercial teams on corporate and strategic projects as needed.
This position is suitable for candidates seeking to complete their Practical Legal Training (PLT) placement.
What you'll bring
Bachelor of Law, JD or equivalent
Admission as a lawyer/current practising certificate is preferred, but not essential
Ability to work in a high-pressure environment
Proven ability to meet multiple deadlines
Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal)
