Graduate Employment Lawyer

Fair Workplace Solutions (FWS) is a boutique employment law firm. We don't believe in billable hours, and we run a hybrid business with a focus on working from home and office. We have a mixture of retainer clients and litigation matters, which means that you'll be working on a wide range of cases. Every day is different. FWS aims to be different from traditional law firms or corporate. We are seeking like minded individuals who want to veer away from corporate politics and focus on being the best lawyers they can be whilst providing great customer service to our clients.
Responsibilities- Provide strategic and pragmatic advice to your own clients on a range of employment law and workplace safety matters
- Handle employment disputes and litigation in the Fair Work Commission and other tribunals in Australia
- Prepare a broad range of legal documents such as contracts, policies and litigation materials
- Assist senior lawyers with their ongoing matters
- Graduate to +1 year PQE ideally in employment law
- Degree in Industrial relations or HR is desirable
- Strong legal research and writing skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong knowledge of Australian Employment Laws and the Fair Work Act
- Awareness of new or pending federal and state legislation, rules and regulations and industry developments and trends
- Secondary language skills are desirable but not essential
- No billable hours
- Hybrid role
