Workers' Compensation Insurance operates within a regulated environment. Our Workers' Compensation underwritten business operates across all open schemes and is distributed under GIO. We aspires to be the leading insurer across all schemes and markets nationally.
The purpose of this role is to deliver high quality and valuable support to the operational businesses in the cyclic management of licences, regulatory governance requirements and in responding to material regulatory matters.
**Key Responsibilities include but not limited to**:
- Facilitate cyclic licence management activities across all schemes, including licence renewals, attestations and licencing payments
- Co-ordinate regulatory governance activities including maintaining the registers of regulatory contact and regulatory change, as well as licencing and regulatory correspondence record keeping
- Co-ordinate internal audit activity and provide advice and support to business areas when developing audit response plans
- Facilitation of material regulatory data and information requests and regulatory change consultations
- Management of high risk issues, complex customer interactions, including breach and incident remediation
- Understands how to contribute to team, business and group priorities and drives priorities with a sense of purpose.
**Skills & Experience**:
- Minimum 3 years' insurance industry experience mandatory together with relevant tertiary qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' regulatory and risk and compliance management experience
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement governance processes relevant to regulator and licence management
- Strong statutory and general insurance knowledge
- Advanced risk and compliance management knowledge, including comfort in managing risks and compliance obligations to ensure the delivery of strategic goals.
