**Description**:
**The opportunity**:
As the driving force behind the Biodiversity and Heritage service lines, you'll be responsible for delivering exceptional financial and operational results that align with our company's strategic goals.
We need a leader who can inspire and motivate our team to achieve their full potential, while taking ownership of managing the people, profit, and loss of these vital service lines. You'll develop pricing strategies, drive revenue growth, and identify new market opportunities to keep us ahead of the competition.
In this exciting role, you'll also be responsible for developing and implementing powerful marketing strategies to promote our services and build strong relationships with clients. And with your outstanding people management skills, you'll ensure that our talented team of professionals is fully engaged, motivated, and equipped to deliver outstanding results.

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Develop and successfully implement the strategic operational direction and plan of the service lines.
- Accountable for the overall financial performance of the service Lines, including managing and optimising revenue, maintaining gross profit, and operating profit margins, managing costs, and allocating resources to ensure a positive return on investment.
- Develop pricing strategy for the service line in conjunction with the CFO, COO and GM Partnerships and Strategy.
- Proactively monitor and respond to the service line's business performance metrics, including utilisation rates, realisation rates, and resource planning.
- Maintain a strong management team with monthly meetings to ensure our goals and results are aligned.
- Lead the team to provide a high level of service to our clients.
- Identify market opportunities and maintain a sufficient pipeline of forward work.
- Maintain successful client relationships which align with company values, to achieve business targets and objectives.
- Actively assess the value of marketing, BD, and promotional opportunities for the service lines on a cost-benefit basis.
**Skills and Experiences**:

- Tertiary Qualifications in relevant field.
- Proven experience as a General Manager or similar leadership role.
- Strong commercial business acumen with an innovative and entrepreneurial mindset.
- Financial management/reporting and analysis skills.
- Strategic planning and resource management skills.
- Experience in identifying and developing new market opportunities.
- Profit centre management and experience in staff development and values-based leadership.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong leadership and motivational ability.
- Problem-solving aptitude.
