It's your opportunity to define what great data governance looks like—building enterprise capability, empowering delivery teams, and enabling innovation within a regulated environment.You'll lead a newly formed team, own enterprise-wide frameworks, and serve as the go-to voice for data quality, access, and protection at scale.If you thrive in ambiguity, inspire trust, and bring clarity to complexity—this is the legacy role you've been waiting for.Why this role matters (and why now) :Report directly to the Director of Delivery & Governance—trusted as a second-in-commandLead a team of 10 across data enablement, cyber, and data competency—shaping both strategy and cultureBe the face of governance—translating regulatory complexity into real-world executionHelp a respected financial institution evolve—aligning protection, innovation, and performanceBe known internally as the voice of digital resilience—not just a manager, but a business influencerWhat you'll leadStrategy & InfluenceDefine the identity and operating model for a newly formed teamEmbed governance and enablement into agile delivery and strategic initiativesOwn executive-level reporting for digital, data, and cyber riskRepresent the function in governance forums and risk councilsData Governance & EnablementRefresh and implement enterprise data governance frameworksLead data stewardship, literacy, and accountability programs across the businessEnsure compliance with CPS 230, CPS 234, and CPG 235 while enabling deliveryBridge business and technology teams to align data protection with strategic objectivesCyber & Digital RiskGuide the evolution of first-line risk frameworks across tech and operationsSupport secure delivery of digital initiatives, agile squads, and third-party engagementsCollaborate with 2nd and 3rd line risk to unify risk posture and compliance assuranceOversee audit readiness, controls assurance, and alignment to ISO 27001, NIST, CPS234, and CPS230Contribute to business continuity and incident response strategyYou'll thrive here if you are :A data leader with 7+ years in governance, enablement, or enterprise data strategyFamiliar with frameworks like ISO 27001, NIST, CPS234, and CPS230, and confident partnering with risk and complianceExperienced in financial services (insurance a bonus) and thrive in fast-paced, regulated environmentsKnown for your clarity, polish, and ability to influence senior stakeholdersDriven by ownership, innovation, and the opportunity to build something meaningfulWhat's in it for you200k–$220k base + SuperFlexible hybrid workingGreenfield leadership — build frameworks, culture, and long-term impactDirect access to executive decision-makersA values-led organisation where wellbeing and ambition go hand in handA role where your name becomes synonymous with digital trust and transformationReady to lead something that matters?
