About the job Sydney-based | Hybrid working | Permanent role We're working with a leading organisation that is putting data at the heart of its strategy and looking to bring on a Data Governance / Data Risk Consultant.
This role is ideal for someone with a consulting or Big Four background who thrives at the intersection of business and data, and is excited about shaping governance frameworks that support AI-driven initiatives.
What you'll be doing : Partner with senior stakeholders to define and deliver enterprise-wide data governance and data risk frameworks.
Advise on regulatory compliance, data quality, and risk management, ensuring governance practices scale effectively for AI data.
Translate complex governance concepts into clear, actionable strategies for business leaders.
Work as part of a close-knit, high-performing team of SMEs , contributing expertise while enjoying a supportive culture and strong work-life balance.
Gain high visibility with the senior leadership team , influencing decisions at a strategic level.
What we're looking for : Experience in data governance, data risk, or data management consulting , ideally with a Big Four or top-tier consulting background.
Strong business-facing skills with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
Knowledge of regulatory standards, frameworks, and the role of governance in enabling trusted AI.
A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for working in an environment that values data as a strategic asset.
Must be Sydney-based with full working rights in Australia.
