**Purpose**

The primary role of the Team Leader - Water Resources is to manage the operational planning and control of CHW's

water resources, optimising their reliability, quality, movement and use. You will manage a dynamic team of water

resource operators ensuring their safety in the complex, remote and often isolated operation of critical CHW

infrastructure.

**Key Duties/Responsibilities**
- Provide strong and effective leadership and coordination of the Water Resources team.
- Create a culture that is supportive, flexible and collaborative, where risk management, safety, the environment,

continuous improvement and optimisation is across all aspects of Water Resources operations.

- Be autonomous and self-motivated, and actively seek out continuous improvement opportunities.
- Ensure operations are conducted in a safe manner to meet customer requirements, internal KPIs and

maximise water resource position.
- Manage CHW's contractual and partnership obligations in the regional Water Monitoring Partnership.
- Prepare budgets and written reports as required.
- Proactively work to enhance the /customer experience
- Undertake higher duties responsibilities as required.
- Other duties as directed.

**. Authority and Accountability**
- Responsible for the efficient and effective performance of all duties and key responsibility areas within the role,

Water Supply Services or others.
- Responsible for the management of contracts including accurate and timely administration and associated

reporting.
- Constructively contribute to creating and maintaining CHW's desired culture by demonstrating CHW's values

and behaviours, and being mindful and respectful.
- At all times, create, maintain and foster a 'safety first' culture and ensure compliance with the provisions of the

Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations and CHW policies and procedures.
- Maintain skills and training to ensure competent back-up of field operations and weekend stand-by duties as

required.

**. Judgement and Decision Making**
- Authorised to exercise independent judgement in the delivery of high-quality work performed in accordance

with established standards, corporation objectives, policies and priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to assess issues within broad principles, guidelines and policies and provide accurate

and timely responses to immerging issues.
- Exercise a high level of personal and professional judgement is required in determining day-to-day priorities

and methods and resolution of major and complex issues.
- Required to exercise sound judgement, initiative and discretion in the management of contractors.

- Highly developed computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Of
