Job Title: Waste Water Treatment Coordinator

  • The role of the Waste Water Treatment Coordinator is to play a key part in ensuring that all waste water management tasks are carried out efficiently and effectively.

The successful candidate will be accountable for developing, documenting and improving resource use and waste management processes to provide a sustainable cost advantage and environmental compliance.

This includes implementing lean principles, waste management and statistical methods to enable process characterization and control.

About this role:

  • Assist the Production Manager in creating initiatives to reduce operational costs
  • Monitor and test waste water as required
  • Comply with trade waste, stock food and EPA agreements
  • Document and complete preventative checks
  • Ensure completion of scheduled work orders in accordance with asset criticality list
  • Ensure all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the plant are compliant with local authority, legislative and corporate requirements

About you:

  • You will have relevant tertiary qualifications with a minimum of one year's industry experience
  • Experience in municipal waste water management, FMCG manufacturing or process engineering is preferred
  • You should be able to think holistically and strategically, making decisions that benefit the business
  • You will have analytical and creative skills, including troubleshooting, mechanical aptitude and reliability engineering results
  • You will have a working knowledge of the key contributors to Total Production Cost (TPC)
